Come celebrate my 32nd birthday by indulging in the most “Shaina-coded” day. This is truly meant to follow your own schedule; you are not expected to come to both parts. Come for what excites you!
I’ve pre-purchased tickets for both, so please RSVP by July 13 so I can verify headcount with the spaces in question. We will not “wait for you”…iykyk! Please also text me with what you’re planning to come to.

Part 1, 3:00 pm-6:00 pm: come craft and hang with me at The Living Room in Mt. Pleasant. The Living Room is a community space where the open hours provide you free access to all their art library—embroidery, collage, beading, etc. (You don’t need to come the whole 3 hours.)
We’ll provide light bites and drinks (alcohol-free). It’s a public (and sober) space, and I currently don’t have plans to rent out the whole thing. They are aware that I’m planning to invite a lot of friends for this celebration.
Part 2, 6:40 pm-9ish pm: go to Regal Cinema Chinatown to go see the Hadestown pro-shot. Hadestown is a musical retelling of a couple of Greek myths (don’t google if you don’t want spoilers!!) It’s told through jazzy music, beautiful storytelling, and it is a romp.
After the movie, we’ll go home to recover emotionally. We’ll see if there’s a drink in us and we’ll “raise our cups” together! (Okay okay, enough with the Hadestown puns!!)
