October's projects include:
a BioBlitz - "a communal effort to record as many species within a designated location and time period as possible." We'll pair up to take photos of as many different species of plants and their friends in the garden as possible.
greenhouse clean-up and organizing.
planting our barbados cherry tree.
We will likely have additional projects related to planting. More details to come.
Workshop will be a show and tell about monarchs and milkweed! We'll also talk about citizen science and other efforts like BioBlitz.
Nature journaling is always welcome!
A day to care for the land together with Lantrip's community. Everyone welcome! Kids must be accompanied by an adult.
For this year's Sparkle Days, there will be time for tending in the garden spaces, and time for learning through workshops and demonstrations.
Sparkle Days are come and go as you please! Please dress for time in the garden -- long pants and closed-toed shoes. Event will happen in light rain or shine. If thunderstorm / flooding / safety is a concern, we will reschedule or cancel.
