What we collect

RealEvents collects the information you provide when creating an event or registering, as well as some technical metadata:

• Event organizers: event title, description, date, location, and optionally your name and email address.
• Attendees: name, email address, and any optional fields the organizer has configured.
• Technical metadata: IP address, browser type, language preference, and approximate location for abuse prevention and analytics.
• Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage data. No personal identifiers are sent to Google Analytics.

How we use your data

• To display your event page and process registrations.
• To send confirmation emails, reminders, and post-event recaps when an organizer email is provided.
• To generate anonymous, aggregated statistics (total events created, registrations).

What we do not do

• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
• We do not require account creation or passwords - there is no authentication system.

Data storage and retention

Event and registration data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on our server. Data is retained as long as the event exists. Organizers can delete their event and all associated registrations at any time through the manage link.

Cookies

RealEvents does not set first-party cookies. Google Analytics may set cookies for anonymous usage tracking.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time through our contact page.
