Workshop

Tentatively - working with water

Water is a powerful force of nature and a source of life. In Houston, we have so many bayous and we are right off the Gulf Coast, and at Lantrip, we have a pond and a rain garden. There are so many ways to garden with water in mind, from thinking about what different plants needs to how different roots can be to techniques like rain collection and using ollas. We'll explore how to work with water in the garden.

Nature journaling is always welcome!

About Sparkle Days

A day to care for the land together with Lantrip's community. Everyone welcome! Kids must be accompanied by an adult.

For this year's Sparkle Days, there will be time for tending in the garden spaces, and time for learning through workshops and demonstrations.

Sparkle Days are come and go as you please! Please dress for time in the garden -- long pants and closed-toed shoes. Event will happen in light rain or shine. If thunderstorm / flooding / safety is a concern, we will reschedule or cancel.

Feel free to share your Sparkle Day nature observation photos here.
